The Health Resources and Services Administration will host an hour-long webinar April 30 at 2 p.m. ET for rural or critical access hospitals and other eligible organizations interested in applying for grants to develop a sustainable network approach to coordinate maternal and obstetrics care in rural regions. HRSA’s Federal Office of Rural Health Policy expects to award up to $9 million over four years for the pilot program, which also aims to increase access to preconception, pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum services; develop sustainable financing models for maternal and obstetrics care; and improve maternal and neonatal outcomes. Applicants must be part of an established network that includes at least two rural hospitals or CAHs and three separately owned entities, at least one of which is in a HRSA-designated rural area, among other requirements. Applications are due by May 24.
