The Aspen Institute recently chose AHA Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer Jay Bhatt, D.O., to participate in its Health Innovators Fellowship. Bhatt joins 20 other senior health care leaders from across the country for the two-year fellowship, which aims to develop new approaches to improve the health and wellbeing of Americans. “It is more important than ever to invest in the ability of our health care leaders to work across the deep divides in our country to address our nation’s complex health care challenges,” said Rima Cohen, executive director of the Health Innovators Fellowship. The Aspen Institute launched the fellowship in 2015 in partnership with Prisma Health in South Carolina.
