Advisory Offers Tips for Supporting Human Trafficking Victims
The Joint Commission has issued an advisory on human trafficking, which offers information and resources to help medical providers recognize and support victims. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics last week released the first ICD-10-CM codes for classifying human trafficking abuse, as urged by the AHA’s Hospitals Against Violence initiative.
