HHS opens CARES Act emergency fund attestation portal
Health care providers who receive funds from the $100 billion Public Health and Social Services Emergency Fund must within 30 days of receipt attest to receiving the funds and agree to the terms and conditions of payment. Specifically, the Department of Health and Human Services on April 10 began distributing the first $30 billion from the fund, created by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act to reimburse providers for health care-related expenses or lost revenues not otherwise reimbursed that are directly attributable to COVID-19.
