HHS: 7.8 million enrolled through HealthCare.gov

Nearly 7.8 million consumers selected or were re-enrolled in a health plan through HealthCare.gov between Nov. 15 and Feb. 6, according to preliminary data released yesterday by the Department of Health and Human Services. About 276,000 people signed up last week. The update includes data for 37 states using the HealthCare.gov platform and for select metropolitan areas. Open enrollment in the Health Insurance Marketplace runs through Feb. 15.
