White House releases federal action plan for HIV/AIDS strategy
The White House today released a federal action plan to accompany its updated National HIV/AIDS Strategy for the United States. The strategy sets four goals: reducing new HIV infections; increasing access to care and improving health outcomes for people living with HIV; reducing HIV-related disparities and health inequities; and achieving a more coordinated national response to the HIV epidemic. Today’s action plan sets immediate goals to be taken by federal agencies in 2016, as well as longer-term actions to be taken over the next three to five years. Dec. 1 is World AIDS Day.
