AHA podcast spotlights vaccination efforts for Chicago’s Latino community

Leaders from Chicago-based Esperanza Health Centers, a federally qualified health center, discuss their work to keep the city’s Southwest Side community healthy throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Esperanza CEO Dan Fulweiler and Ofelia Figueroa, lead contract tracer, share how they addressed cultural and logistical factors of their primarily Latino community by increasing vaccine confidence and access, resulting in the administration of more than 70,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
