Health centers, rural health clinics can apply for ARPA funding to train residents
Rural health clinics and other qualified community-based outpatient care centers can apply for American Rescue Plan Act funding to expand the number of full-time equivalent resident positions and create new primary care residency programs in rural and underserved communities through the Teaching Health Center Program, the Health Resources and Services Administration announced yesterday.
HRSA also recently awarded an additional $10,000 per medical resident to existing Teaching Health Centers through ARPA to support direct and indirect costs such as salaries and stipends, supplies and curriculum development.
