Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate will join the speaker line up at AHA's Annual Membership Meeting April 24-26 in Washington, D.C. Manchin serves on the Senate Appropriations Committee and is sponsor of the AHA-supported Protecting Rural Telehealth Access Act (S. 1988). Manchin also fought successfully for $8.5 billion in rural health care Provider Relief Funds in the American Rescue Plan. As FBI deputy director, Abbate oversees all of the agency’s domestic and international investigative and intelligence activities.
