AHA announces 2023 Next Gen Fellows

The AHA’s Next Generation Leaders Fellowship today announced its 41 fellows for 2023, who will work one-on-one with a mentor to execute a project to address a challenge specific to their hospital or health system. 

"Our 2023 class will be prepared to manage change in the face of uncertainty, solve complex problems and improve value in health care," said Michelle Hood, AHA executive vice president and chief operating officer. "This fellowship experience provides an opportunity for participants to explore new solutions for the myriad of challenges and disruptions in today’s health care system."

The fellows will present their projects’ solutions at next year’s AHA Leadership Summit, including 10 fellows participating as part of the Age-Friendly Health Systems initiative to improve care for older adults. Accenture is corporate sponsor for AHA’s Next Generation Leaders Fellowship, and the John A. Hartford Foundation is providing scholarships for the Age-Friendly Fellows.
