AHA voices support for bill to extend training flexibility for SNF nurse aides
AHA today voiced support for the Building America’s Health Care Workforce Act (H.R.7744), legislation that would extend for two years after the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency certain flexibilities relating to training and competency requirements for nurse aides in skilled nursing facilities.
“This extension would allow SNFs to retain their workforce, while also providing nurse aides with job experience needed to become Certified Nursing Assistants,” AHA said in a letter of support for the bill, sponsored by Reps. Brett Guthrie, R-Kentucky, and Madeleine Dean, D-Pa.
