The Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response yesterday awarded $600 million for 12 domestic COVID-19 test manufacturers to expand capacity. On Monday, the agency will begin accepting mail orders for four free at-home tests per household that can detect the currently circulating variants.
