Health care has faced tremendous challenges in recent years, and the path ahead will require deft and nimble leadership to meet the opportunities and overcome the hurdles. One of the best things health care leaders can do while navigating a labyrinth of challenges is to talk with other leaders.

We’re all in this together. We may represent individual hospitals and health systems, but we are one health care network across the U.S. And I have personally found support and innovative ways of looking at and addressing complex issues from my peers across the country.

I invite you to join me, along with AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack and hundreds of other health care leaders, experts and innovators, at the AHA Leadership Summit, July 21-23 in San Diego. There’s still time to register.

The Leadership Summit offers an exceptional opportunity to gather with peers to share ideas, strategies and practices to propel health care forward. You can choose from a vast variety of breakout sessions, plenaries, focused programming and networking opportunities to customize your conference experience based on your interests and the needs of your team and organization.

Plenary sessions will focus on resilience and culture; innovation and transformation amid disruption; the future of health care delivery; and health equity. One session will be devoted to a discussion of the 2024 political landscape and will highlight the potential impact of regulatory policies on health care organizations. Topics for breakout sessions range from generative AI, to patient safety, to workforce, to future-focused financial and strategic planning.

Just as important as the outstanding programming, this year’s Leadership Summit will offer many opportunities to connect with colleagues, including at the Innovation Hub, which will feature special programming focused on innovation, wellness and sustainability, health equity, and other important topics and trends.

Setting and steering a strong course in such a complex, fast-changing field demands expertise, skill, compassion — and a commitment to delivering high-quality care to our patients and communities. I look forward to seeing you in San Diego to ignite our collective inspiration for the journey ahead.
