The AHA yesterday announced a new partnership with the FBI on mitigating targeted violence in health care settings. The goal of the collaboration is to promote violence prevention strategies and address the escalating threats and acts of targeted violence against health care facilities and their workforce. The AHA yesterday released an issue brief examining threat assessment and threat management and steps to take should one identify a potential threat. There also is a new dedicated webpage with other resources on mitigating targeted violence in health care settings.
