Hospitals and health care systems are redesigning how they deliver care to better meet the needs of their patients and communities across their lifespans. The Care Delivery Transformation Framework models how the components of the health care ecosystem support the development and implementation of innovative care delivery models.
Maternal and child health is a high priority for AHA and its member hospitals and health systems. We are driven to advance health for women and children through partnerships and innovation in the quality, cost and delivery of care. This work is guided by a committee composed of 15 individuals representing health care leadership from some of the country's leading women's and children's health provider organizations and systems.
Get Involved
Host a Custom Innovation Summit with the American Hospital Association
Partner with the AHA’s Division of Health Outcomes and Care Transformation to host an interactive workshop to develop solutions and insights for your organization to reduce disparities in health outcomes. Custom innovation summits are tailored to an organization’s unique priorities, and focused on addressing the specific needs of the communities and patients they serve. The AHA team will be responsible for session preparation, research and agenda facilitation, while host sites will provide event logistics.
Healthier Together Conference
May 12-14, 2026 - Dallas
This dynamic event will highlight data-driven strategies and innovative approaches to expand access to care, advance person-centered interventions, strengthen hospital-community partnerships, and explore collaborative solutions to reduce disparities in health outcomes and bolster resilience in the health care field.
Telling the Hospital Story: LCMC Health
The AHA collaborated with LCMC Health in New Orleans to spotlight innovative efforts that extend care beyond hospital walls. Programs featured: ThriveKids, Family Connects, Birth Ready and The Nursing Nest.
