Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the cost for grant services?

Answer: Services are always customized for the organization. We will work with your organization to develop a scope of work that meets your unique needs.

Do you offer discounts for AHA member organizations?

Answer: We do! Discounts and bonuses vary based on the package, but we typically discount a percentage of the service and/or offer additional value for members, such as bonus flex hours.

How long are Grant Services contracts?

Answer: Most contracts for service packages run as one-year subscriptions, with biweekly or monthly reports, check-ins, office hours and more. Add-on services may be shorter in duration. For example, an organization may contract for intensive help to write and develop a single proposal over the course of two months.

What support does AHA offer after grant awards?

Answer: AHA offers a comprehensive, customizable range of post-award services, including support for project and program start-up and implementation, compliance and reporting support, program evaluation, performance assessment and improvement, and more.

How will our organization realize return on investment (ROI)?

Answer: Four of the primary ways our partners achieve ROI are:

  • Increased Grant Awards: Our opportunity prospecting and process management services can help your or-ganization improve its chances of securing larger and more competitive grants. With federal, state and private funding opportunities regularly exceeding $100,000 per grant, even a single successful application could yield substantial financial returns.
  • Time Savings: With regular reports and office hours, the goal is for your team to reduce the time spent on discovering opportunities. We also advise on strategic considerations such as streamlining internal workflows and eliminating inefficiencies. This will allow your team to pursue more opportunities in less time, ultimately increasing the number of grants submitted each year.
  • Relationship Identification and Development: Our opportunity prospecting support also includes seeking foundations and funders who operate on relationship- and invitation-only bases. When strong prospects are identified, the AHA team can support outreach and communications to develop relationships and opportunities to access "hidden" funding mechanisms that have no public application avenues.
  • Expert Insights: Our tailored approach to funding opportunity identification is designed to keep your organization ahead of the competition by identifying the most relevant and timely grants, cooperative agreements and more. By acting quickly and confidently on high-quality opportunities, your organization will be better positioned to secure future funding.

Can you provide references?

Answer: Yes! We have reference statements from current clients that we are happy to share upon request. However, because of the sensitive and competitive nature of grant funding, we do not give out clients’ names, organizations or contact information.
