Strength through mindfulness: Children's Mercy Kansas City to open depression and anxiety clinic for local youth

A new depression and anxiety clinic has been opened by Children's Mercy Kansas City as the first of 14 mental health projects the hospital is launching during the next five years. The clinic will be dedicated to treating teenagers using cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness approaches to help stabilize patients and strengthen their coping skills.
