Hospital expands access, coordination of primary and cardiovascular care

Northern Light Mercy Hospital is expanding access to primary care and heart care in southern Maine, bringing the healthcare services together to improve coordination and availability to patients.
The expansion will include a new primary care practice and cardiology services, along with on-site echocardiograms and cardiac stress testing, at the Rock Row Health Campus. The campus is the medical anchor of a 110-acre, mixed-use development in Westbrook, Maine.
Marie Vienneau, president of Northern Light Mercy Hospital, said the goal is to make healthcare “more accessible and better connected for the people we serve,” noting that many patients managing heart conditions need care from multiple providers.
Co-locating healthcare services comes as demand for primary and cardiovascular care continues to grow across southern Maine. Rock Row Health Campus was selected in part because of its central location and easy interstate access, making it convenient for patients throughout the region. The hospital plans to open the new site in 2027.
