At University of Michigan Health-West, a unique family story is unfolding through the work of four dedicated nurses from the Bos family. Linda Bos and her three daughters — Lydia Hollemans, Naomi Palmbos and Anika Bos — each serve in different areas across the health system but share a commitment to compassionate care. Their paths often intersect in meaningful ways, even caring for the same patients at different stages of treatment.
For Linda, working alongside her daughters is both professionally rewarding and deeply personal. “Being a mom with three daughters as coworkers makes me so proud,” she said, noting the joy she feels when colleagues praise her children’s work.
Her daughters were inspired to join the health system in part by her positive experiences. “My mom kept talking about UM Health-West and how welcoming and supportive it is here. Every nurse matters here,” Lydia said.
The Bos family ties across UM Health-West help create a sense of community and belonging throughout the health system.
