Description

Health care organizations are increasingly focused on advancing Just Culture, Psychological Safety, and High Reliability Organization (HRO) principles to strengthen patient safety, workforce well-being and organizational performance. Too often, these concepts are introduced and implemented as separate initiatives. In practice, however, they are deeply interconnected and grounded in shared fundamentals—trust, accountability, teamwork, communication and leadership behaviors.
This webinar explores Just Culture, Psychological Safety and HRO as complementary and reinforcing approaches, rather than standalone efforts. Speakers from across the health care landscape will share real world examples of how these principles show up in daily work and how TeamSTEPPS® provides a practical, team-based framework that supports and operationalizes this work.
Participants will hear how peer organizations are aligning safety culture efforts, embedding reliability into everyday practice, and using TeamSTEPPS tools to strengthen communication, psychological safety, and accountability at all levels of the organization.
Learning Objectives:
- Explain how Just Culture, Psychological Safety and High Reliability Organization principles intersect and why alignment across these approaches is essential in health care.
- Identify ways TeamSTEPPS supports and reinforces these efforts through teamwork, communication, leadership and mutual support practices.
- Apply insights and strategies from peer organizations to strengthen safety culture and reliability within their own settings.
