The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Friday deployed tools to help consumers estimate their out-of-pocket costs and identify physicians, facilities and prescription drugs included in the networks and formularies for specific health plans offered at HealthCare.gov. “Over the past month, we have tested and improved these new decision support features on HealthCare.gov to help consumers pick the plan that best meets their needs,” said Kevin Counihan, CEO of the Health Insurance Marketplace. Consumers may opt-in to use the tools and leave comments and suggestions for improvement, CMS said. The agency encourages consumers to confirm the network information with their care provider. Open enrollment runs through Jan. 31. For coverage beginning Jan. 1, enrollees must sign up by Dec. 15.
