Senate approves Price nomination for HHS secretary
The Senate early today voted 52-47 along party lines to approve President Trump’s nomination of Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) to serve as Health and Human Services secretary. Price, who has served on the House Ways and Means Committee and as chairman of the House Budget Committee, spent most of his career working in hospitals as an orthopedic surgeon. Upon confirmation as HHS secretary, he resigned his seat in the House.
