Accreditor accepting comments on revised standards for workplace violence prevention

The Joint Commission recently released for comment through Feb. 16 proposed new and revised workplace violence prevention standards for accredited hospitals and critical access hospitals.

The standards address defining workplace violence and developing a leadership structure, policies and procedures, reporting systems, post-incident strategies, training and education to prevent workplace violence.
