During the holiday season, the lives of millions of Americans will be filled with the spirit of giving, the importance of family and friends, and a sense of healing, renewal and new opportunity. That spirit lives year-round in hospitals in every kind of community in every corner of the country. In every season, on every holiday, 365 days a year, your open doors are a beacon of hope for those who need help. It’s why communities take pride in and support the hospitals they helped build. It’s why trustees, auxilians and volunteers give hours and hours of their time. And it’s why the women and men who work in and with America’s hospitals strive every day to provide care with compassion. May that year-round spirit of caring bring added warmth to the holidays you share with family and friends. Happy holidays, and thanks for all you do. All of us at the AHA are honored to serve those who serve their communities so well.
