State Department relocates U.S. citizens out of Wuhan, China

The Department of Health and Human Services and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said today that they assisted the Department of State in relocating 195 U.S. citizens out of Wuhan, China. The agencies said each individual was screened for the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) before and during the flight and then evaluated and monitored upon landing at March Air Reserve Base in California. CDC has not confirmed any new U.S. cases outside of the five known travel-related cases. The World Health Organization said an international committee will meet Thursday to determine whether the current situation constitutes a public health emergency.
