The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives will award a $5,000 scholarship in honor of AHA President and CEO Rich Umbdenstock, CHIME CEO and President Russ Branzell said this week. The scholarship, announced at the AHA Rural Health Care Leadership Conference in Phoenix, will pay for an existing scholarship-candidate from a small or rural health care provider to attend CHIME’s Healthcare CIO Boot Camp March 14-17 in Chicago. Umbdenstock recently announced he will retire from the AHA at the end of 2015.
