The Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification program provides a national standard of requisite knowledge required for certification; thereby assisting employers, the public and members of health professions in assessing healthcare facility managers.
The CHFM Current Certificant List, updated twice monthly, reflects all currently certified professionals.
The CHFM program includes the following elements:
- Eligibility requirements that are a blend of education and healthcare-specific experience
- A 115-item multiple-choice Certification Examination
- A renewal requirement
The updated CHFM Exam with new 2012 edition of NFPA 99 was released March 1, 2017.

Candidates can apply online or via application (mail/fax.) Ensure you have reviewed the Candidate Handbook prior to applying.
The AHA Certification Center contracts with PSI/AMP for exam administration and other services. Approximately 200 secure Assessment Centers are available for computer exam administrations. Exams are administered twice daily Monday - Friday.
