The Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification program provides a national standard of requisite knowledge required for certification; thereby assisting employers, the public and members of health professions in assessing healthcare facility managers.

The CHFM program includes the following elements:

  • Eligibility requirements that are a blend of education and healthcare-specific experience
  • A 115-item multiple-choice Certification Examination
  • A renewal requirement

The updated CHFM Exam with new 2012 edition of NFPA 99 was released March 1, 2017.
