Description

September 13, 2023

The health care workers of today are facing unprecedented stressors in the workplace. Thanks to the changes wrought by the pandemic, a present and ever-growing workforce shortage, and the rigorous demands of the job itself, it is little wonder that mental health concerns are on the rise among health care workers themselves. This webinar shares data surrounding the mental health crisis among caregivers, including statistics on suicide. Dr. Sanne Henninger sheds light on the signs and symptoms evidenced by staff in need of mental health support as well as shares strategies for equipping both leaders and fellow staff in recognizing and responding effectively to a struggling teammate. High level information is followed by practical models, frameworks and guidelines for creating a supportive team culture that both responds well to and works to prevent mental health crises among the team.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn about suicide and mental health statistics
  • Recognize precursors, signs and symptoms when someone is struggling with their mental health
  • Understand the guidelines for having a conversation with someone who is struggling
  • Provide strategies for a team to become a support system to one another

Speaker:

  • Dr. Sanne Henninger, LCSW
    Owner, Bright Blues Team Consulting
    Psychotherapist, Thriveworks Counseling & Psychiatry
