The Health Resources and Services Administration today awarded cities, states and community-based organizations $2.2 billion in fiscal year 2015 grants to support medical and support services, including medications, for people with HIV/AIDS. “Over the last quarter century, the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program has played a critical role in the United States’ public health response to HIV,” said Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell. “These grants will make a difference for the most vulnerable Americans who lack adequate health care coverage or financial resources to pay for treatment.”
