The American Organization of Nurse Executives has chosen as its next president-elect Mary Beth Kingston, RN, executive vice president and chief nursing officer at Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care. As 2018 president-elect, Kingston will become AONE president in 2019. She currently serves on the boards of the Milwaukee Urban League and Mount Mary University, and previously served on the board of directors for AONE and the Pennsylvania Organizations of Nurse Leaders. Also elected to the AONE Board of Directors for three-year terms beginning Jan. 1 were: Anne Schmidt, RN, vice president of patient care services and system chief nursing officer at South County Health in Wakefield, RI; and Deb Zimmermann, RN, chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System and associate dean of clinical programs at the VCU School of Nursing in Richmond, VA.
