Hospitals and health systems are leading initiatives to foster healthy behaviors and improve the health of individuals and communities, according to new AHA resources highlighting their strategies and successes. By using data to set and track priorities, screening for positive and risky health behaviors, and engaging strategic community partners, hospitals and health systems are seeing smoking, diabetes and hospital readmissions rates fall and exercise and healthy eating increase, among other benefits.
