CMS releases procedure codes for second Moderna booster dose

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has released Current Procedural Terminology codes for reporting a second Moderna COVID-19 vaccine booster dose on medical claims. The Food and Drug Administration on March 29 authorized a second Moderna booster dose for adults aged 50 and older and certain immunocompromised adults.
