Why do they do it?
The hospital wants to offer affordable housing for people - including disabled individuals - who can benefit from the immediate access to health care that living on the hospital campus provides.
Impact
Since the project opened, it has had full occupancy with a waiting list of hopeful tenants, and the hospital census has increased by 50 percent.
