The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services today released an updated timeline for qualified health plan certification in the federally-facilitated Health Insurance Marketplaces for calendar year 2017, and proposed revisions to the rate review timeline for single risk pool coverage. The dates for QHP certification generally supersede those in the agency’s 2018 Letter to Issuers. The initial submission window will now be open from May 10 to June 21, with final submissions due by Aug. 16. Contracts will be signed by Oct. 12.
