CMS Issues New Requirement for DRG Add-on

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provided for a 20% add-on to the inpatient prospective payment system (PPS) diagnosis-related group (DRG) rate for patients diagnoses with COVID-19 for the duration of the public health emergency.
