CMS Issues Updated Guidance on Immediate Jeopardy

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Nov. 21 issued updated guidance, effective immediately, for surveyors, hospitals, and other providers and suppliers on identifying and citing instances of noncompliance with health and safety regulations that rise to the level of “immediate jeopardy.”
