October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month
Since 2004, the president of the United States and Congress have declared October to be Cybersecurity Awareness Month, helping organizations and individuals protect themselves online as threats to technology and confidential data become more commonplace.
Cyberthreats such as ransomware attacks are threat-to-life crimes. Your organization can prepare for and manage such risks by viewing cybersecurity not as an IT issue but rather by making it part of your existing governance, risk management and business continuity framework. To bolster your cybersecurity initiatives, look to this page for resources specially prepared and curated by the AHA in honor of Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
