Federal Health Care Executive Awards

NOMINATION PROCESS
FEDERAL HEALTH CARE EXECUTIVE RECOGNITION PROGRAMS

Selection and Awards Presentations

The American Hospital Association (AHA) sponsors two awards in recognition of federal health care executives who have had a significant and lasting impact on military and/or public health care delivery. Selections for these honors are made at the determination of the AHA and are not mandatory. The awards are presented at a VIP Luncheon in conjunction with the annual AHA/Health Forum Leadership Summit.

A call for nominations is issued in January to the Surgeons General of the Armed Forces (Air Force, Army, Navy), the Undersecretary for Health at the Veterans Administration and the Director of the Public Health Service. Nominations are accepted for each award from each branch of the service.

For additional information about the awards, please contact Merry Beth Kraus at 312-422-3338.
