Please join me and other AHA leaders at the AHA’s Institute for Diversity and Health Equity National Leadership and Education Conference, June 28-29 in Chicago. This year’s theme is “Strengthening Our Roots: Expanding Our Focus in Diversity, Inclusion and Health Equity.”

The two-day lineup includes plenaries, breakout sessions and rapid fire talks on advancing health equity and managing diversity and inclusion, with experts from the field and leaders from state hospital associations and top-performing hospitals and health systems.

I’m pleased to be moderating a panel on “The Evolving Role of Women in Health Care Leadership.” Topics for breakout sessions include advancing health equity through partnerships; building cultural inclusiveness; and health equity, disparities resolution and the workforce experience.

You’ll also have the opportunity to network with health care executives, diversity officers and practitioners, trustees, business leaders and community partners.

This work is so vitally important. Please considering joining me to be part of the discussion to strengthen our field’s efforts toward improving access and quality care for everyone in our communities. To learn more and register, visit www.diversityconnection.org.
