AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack and AARP CEO Jo Ann Jenkins today authored an OpEd in The Hill discussing the skyrocketing costs of prescription drugs and what they mean for patients and our health care system. “Ultimately, the current system of exorbitantly-priced drugs is unsustainable for everyone — patients, employers, insurers, and taxpayer-funded programs like Medicare and Medicaid,” they wrote. “We stand ready to work together to find commonsense and innovative solutions that will help make drugs affordable for everyone.” Read more.
