HC3 TLP White: Web Shell Malware:Threats and Mitigations. May 21, 2020

A web shell is a web security threat which is a web-based implementation of the shell concept. A web shell can be uploaded to a web server to allow remote access of the web server. Web shells have both a legitimate and malicious use reference.
