'Kansas Loves Healthcare' Honors Front-line Workers
The Kansas Hospital Association launched the “Kansas Loves Healthcare” initiative in early October 2020 so hospitals, businesses and organizations can express gratitude for the commitment and hard work of health care professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic. KHA created the “Kansas Loves Healthcare" website, which highlights four ways for the community to honor health care heroes.
People can share a story about how their hospital or health system is making the community stronger and healthier. They also can download the “Kansas Loves Healthcare” logo and use or share it to show appreciation for the state’s health care workers.
In addition, KHA has created t-shirts, mugs and other merchandise that people can purchase. The website also links to established foundations that benefit Kansas hospitals and front-line workers — including Protect the Heroes, of which AHA is a partner — so people and organizations can make direct donations.
“As health care teams continue to battle the COVID-19 pandemic, we proudly stand with them and acknowledge their ongoing commitment on the front lines,” said Cindy Samuelson, KHA senior vice president, member and public relations, in a press release.
