VA Medical Center - Good Neighbor Program

The Good Neighbor Program provides socialization and safety monitoring to veterans in the community. Good Neighbor volunteers provide emotional and psychosocial support to home-bound patients and/or family within a 10-mile radius of their own home. After each visit, volunteers are able to identify safety concerns, patient receptivity, general patient condition, condition of home, special requests from patient and family, and any activities in which they engaged with the patient.
