MultiCare Health System - Center for Healthy Living Program
What is it?
MultiCare Center for Healthy Living was created in 1999 to promote community health and wellness. The Center helps individuals, families and employees of businesses in the county learn how to live healthier lives and decrease their risk of disease by offering a number of classes and programs on topics ranging from nutrition and weight management to life balance and stress reduction.
Who is it for?
All residents of Pierce County.
Why do they do it?
Research indicates that a healthy lifestyle may prevent up to 70 percent of common life-threatening diseases, including heart disease, stroke, cancer and diabetes.
