AnMed Health created Camp Asthmania, a free four-day camp that empowers children to effectively manage their asthma while having the same social and recreational experience of camp that other children enjoy. Camp Asthmania empowers children to gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively manage their asthma and live an active lifestyle.

Who is it for?
Area children ages 6 to 12 who currently have asthma.
Why do they do it?
Uncontrolled asthma was a leading cause of emergency department (ED) visits for children.
Impact
A decrease in asthma-related school absenteeism, ED visits, and physician office visits are credited to Camp Asthmania. More than 600 children have participated since the program's inception.
