What is it?

Low-cost screening packages help individuals evaluate their health status and detect if their health is headed in a bad direction. The comprehensive screening packages are available in three tracks: Heart, Stroke and Women’s Health.

Who is it for?

Residents of the hospital’s service area; screening packages are targeted to individuals based on their age, gender and risk factors.

Why do they do it?

The program aims to help uninsured and underinsured individuals maintain their health. Heart and stroke packages help people with a family history and risk factors for those conditions, and women’s packages screen for conditions that commonly affect women.

Impact

Approximately 3,000 people take advantage of the screenings annually at a cost of $25 to $100 for packages that would normally cost between $450 and $1,500.
