Community Health Improvement Week (June 1-5) celebrates people coming together to create healthier communities. And that's never been more important than now.

The AHA will be sharing stories about hospital-community partnerships and people making a positive impact to protect the health of their communities and take care of each other during these challenging times.

Ending the week on June 5, AHA’s Hospitals Against Violence initiative encourages everyone to stand together for #HAVhope Friday, a national day of awareness uniting hospitals, health systems, nurses, doctors and other professionals to mitigate violence.

Here’s how to get involved:

  • Submit your stories to honor and thank individuals for their acts of bravery, care, kindness and support combatting COVID-19.
  • Download the #HAVhope Friday digital toolkit to highlight efforts in which your organization brings awareness to or promotes community violence prevention and workplace safety.
