Honoring Doctors for Their Extraordinary Efforts

Warner Thomas, president and CEO of Ochsner Health in southeast Louisiana, delivered a special video message to doctors honoring their hard work and commitment, especially during this health care crisis. "I know we are going through a challenging time, and I want to tell you how much I appreciate everything you are doing to take care of patients and to take care of each other."

The message was shared on March 30, National Doctors' Day, as part of the hospital's communitywide effort inviting people to thank doctors who have made a positive impact in their lives.

In addition to sharing messages of gratitude with doctors, Oschner Health set up a pop-up grocery store in its cafeteria where staff can purchase essentials, such as bread, milk, eggs and orange juice. It filled sidewalks with chalk messages of encouragement at employee entrances. And the health system set up relaxation areas with calming music, low lighting and other amenities.
