Nurses Honor Environmental Services as Vital Hospital Workers
Nurses in the cardiac intensive care unit at Elliot Health System in Manchester, N.H., united to wear green and show appreciation for their environmental services team. Every day, all day the EVS staff clean and disinfect the entire hospital from the nurses’ stations and handrails to lobby surfaces and elevator buttons.
Across the field, EVS teams also work to collect soiled masks and disinfect soiled face shields and eye protection so they can be reused with such limited resources.
You might say these unsung heroes are the first and last defense against spreading COVID-19 and keeping people safe.
Thanks to all EVS team members nationwide. #healthcareheroes.
