Resource for Nonprofit Hospitals on Considerations for Restructuring as a result of COVID-19

Anticipating questions from nonprofit hospitals and health systems about the considerations involved in restructuring, including bankruptcy, as a result of the ongoing devastating financial impact of COVID-19, the law firm of Hogan Lovells prepared and made available to AHA members a white paper on these subjects. The paper reviews mergers and acquisitions in the restructuring/bankruptcy context, the general bankruptcy process and the “unique health regulatory and transaction features applicable to hospital deals.”
